I apologize if I've missed this information clearly stated somewhere else.

How do the Lariat 20" wheels compare in width and back spacing to the FX4 20" wheels? It seems like more often the referenced picture is somebody with the FX4 wheels.

Are the Duratracs the only tire to come in a 285/60/20? I love the look but since my truck spends 95% of its time on the road, I'm concerned about tire noise. But that seems like a great compromise tire size if I can't swing the leveling kit right now.

Anyone with a 5.4L and 3.55 gears regret the taller tires? I really wish my truck had the 3.73 gears. Honestly, I think it would get better mpg. It always seems to be in too high of a gear. Slightly concerned that taller tires are going to make this even worse.

All the factory 20's should have the same specs...8.5 inches wide and a +44 offset which is close to 6-1/2 inches of backspacing. I think the 285x60x20 Duratrac (33.5x12) is a great size tire on a stock height or leveled 4x4...they look great too! I think Goodyear is the only one making this size. A 33 or 34 inch tall tire would work out OK with the 5.4 and 3.55's...a programmer would help a lot also. Good luck with your decision.

This may not answer your question but I have the 285/60/20 Duratracs on my Platinum with a 2 inch level. It has the 5.4 and 3.55 gears. I don't regret a thing I just wish they made larger sizes for the Duratracs. I get around 12.5 mpg but who cares, the truck does whatever I need it to. The tread wear is great if rotated properly, they don't make noise, and they are great in all weather conditions. Buy them

PawPaw and StickBoy thanks for the feedback. You guys have me really torn.

It kills me how much more the 285/60/20 Duratracs ($379) are vs say a 275/60/20 Cooper LTZ ($217). That's a $650 premium for the Duratracs.

X2. 285/60/20 seems like it would be perfect size at 33.46" x 11.22". $650 is hard to justify for a little under half an inch more in diameter and 4/10" in width.

I've got a 2010 XLT with the 5.4. Love the engine, but mpgs suck. I've got 3.55 in the rear, and would switch to 3.31 if I had the money. Rolling on 33s, a d probably will step it up to 3.73 or 3.90 once I jump to 35x12 tires on a 4 inch lift.

I decided to be a bit different and went with some Black Rhino's. I was really impressed with the build quality of these wheels and liked the fact that they are Hub Centric. In the grand scheme of things the wheels are fairly lightweight as well which is an added bonus.

The truck is (Bone Stock) in terms of suspension...for now. I was sweating bullets on fitment but I am happy to report there is no rubbing anywhere when turning the wheels R/L Lock to Lock. Haven't gone offroad YET to confirm if any rubbing would occur in that situation but suspension mods will follow shortly and I will probably just wait until then before getting too hog wild in the dirt.

Prior to install my main concern was UCA clearance. With the factory 18" Chrome Clad wheels and Tires there was about 1.5" of clearance between the inside edge of the tire and the UCA's. After install there is now roughly 2-2.5" of clearance so no problems there at all.

In terms of front wheel well clearance with the new package installed I got about 1-1.5" on the front and back sides of the tires remaining. Its close but seems acceptable for now until I lift the truck.

Lastly, there is a fair amount of "Poke" going on but I wouldn't say its obnoxious looking (maybe 1.5" from fenders). I'm actually kind of digging it and think the stance looks pretty tough.

So here's the final break down:

Wheel Brand: Black Rhino
Wheel Model: GLAMIS
Wheel Size: 17x9
Wheel Offset: +12
Wheel Weight: 30lbs (just under that actually)

Tire Brand: Good Year
Tire Model: Wrangler Duratrac
Tire Size: 285x70x17
Tire Weight: 51lbs

Total Weight of Wheel/Tire Package = 81lbs per corner verified with bathroom scale

Adding a few more fitment Pics to my previous post Quoted above. For those interested in seeing additional fitment Pics I have a whole slew of them in the link found in my Sig.
