As for the block, someone correct me if I am wrong, its been awhile ...

2wd - 1 inch
4wd - 3 inch

So if you lose your 2wd block and replace with a 3 inch you'll end up with 2 inches of lift. Look at ready lift for a rear block that lifts 1.25 or look at roadmaster active suspension which isn't a block, but lifts the rear by taking the sag out of your leaf springs. They don't advertise it as doing this, but I installed one and it did lift the rear 1.25 the day it was installed. There maybe other blocks out there? I am wondering if an FX2 block is the same as a 4wd block, or perhaps in between 2wd and 4wd blocks?

Thanks for the info. I'll give them a call. I don't want to go up more than an inch in the back, as I plan on going 2" in the front with the Bilsteins. Anybody else want to verify the rear blocks on a 2WD 2010 Lariat? Thanks! It would be easier if I was home to measure them myself.

I measured after the Bilstein install and it was 2.5 inches. The literature says 2 inches, but this is wrong. I called Bilstein tech support and they confirmed it is 2.5 inches.

Looks great. 2wd or 4wd?

Thanks for the info. That's better news really. Any ideas on the stock size of the rear block? I guess I could go up a little more in the back if needed. I'm leaning towards the Toyo Open Country AT's or the General Grabbers. I've seen several posts on both, but nobody discusses which Grabber they're running. Do most of you have the HTS or the AT2's? I had the HTS on my Tundra and they were smooth on the highway. I like the looks of the AT2's but gas mileage and ride are of some concern. Will be getting the Bilsteins this weekend.

I have a 2009 FX4 scab. Kept the stock 20" rims but changed out tires to 275/65-20 Terra Grapplers. I have a 2" level kit and have no rubbing issues at all. Just wanted a tire that filled out the wheel wells a little more than the stock Pirellis'. Slightly stiffer ride but like someone else mentioned earlier after a while you don't even notice it and it's not that big of a deal anyway.

Any chance you've got some pictures of that? I'm thinking about doing the same

295/70r17 (33.26") Terra Grapplers. $190 each at Discount Tire.

2" level, 3" rear block.

No issues.

I was also thinking of doing a similar setup on a 2011 FX4 Eco Boost. A 2.5 level kit and a 3 inch block in the back. Toyo Open Country A/T LT 275/65R20 E/10. This s/b a 34 inch tire. I believe the stock Pirelli to be 31.9 inch. I went with the 4.10 gears. The formulas show the effective gear ratio going down to 3.84 and RPM's down by 128 at 2000. The new tire will weigh about 14 pounds more. In the end I hope to have similar performance as a stock truck with 3.73's. Any thoughts?

Sounds like good planning.

I wish I had 3.73s. I have 3.55s, but my new tire size put it around 3.35, if I remember correctly.
