Hey guys have a question been searching for a while haven't seen anything on it here. I just installed a 4" RC susp lift on my 2010 2wd FX2. Now I know with a 2.5 lvl'ing kit you can get 33s on a 2wd. So should I be good with a 295x70x18? I want to go with the Nitto's or BFG A/T. Thanks

I know everyone has probably seen this question before, but I cant seem to find enough positive feed back to ease my mind.... I just ordered the Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/65R20 and 20'' Black Rhino Sidewinder wheels. They will be going on my stock height 2010 FX4. My question is, will they fit without any rubbing?

I know some one out there has tried it before. @prime81 it says your running this size on the Wheel Fitment Chart?
Thanks in advance guys

i ran those exact tires on my truck with no lift and there was no rubbing.

What are the specs of the wheels?

Yep you should be fine without a lift.

2013 King Ranch with 18" wheels. I want to just keep it stock, but change wheels. What size and offset?

18x9 with a positive offset will be as close as you can get to stock.

The stock wheels are +44 offset, but most aftermarket wheels you will find will be +12 to +18 max

Default 2012 FX4 - 325x60x18

I have been a longtime viewer of this forum and have saved many hours and several thousands of dollars by some of the postings others have made. I thought I would contribute back with my recent findings.

I owned a 2005 King Ranch that I finally bit the bullet and purchased some bigger tires and wheels to go on it. This site identified what size would and would not work. I ended up going with 2.5 Leveling Kit with the XD Series 18x9 wheels. I outfitted the black wheels with Nitto Grapplers AT 325x60x18.
I needed every bit of the 2.5 leveling kit and had to trim the inside of each factory mud flap. I debated on the Nitto’s and the BFG KO’s as I had them before and was very happy with the ride, low noise and the mileage I got out of them however the Nitto’s had the wider tire option so I went with them and I couldn't be happier with them. They looked awesome on my King Ranch so I thought I was set for the next 20 years as I had no intentions of getting anything else. Well, plans change, I had some rust pop up on the back corner of my cab and it ended up being rusted through big time. I had it fixed and then I saw the back of my front fenders just above my running boards were rusting. I kept spraying WD-40 on them trying to prolong the in evadable then I saw the other back cab corner have a rust stain running down… As much as I didn’t want to get rid of a low mileage paid for truck I thought I would cut my loss and trade it in. I ended up getting a 2012 FX4 SCREW, it’s not the 2005 King Ranch however I can’t be happier with all the bells and whistles the new one has and it drives like a luxury car.

Okay, Sorry for the long post but I am finally getting to what I wanted to post. I’m sure there were several posts out there on this that I may have missed however it won’t hurt to repost. I kept my aftermarket wheels and tires when I traded in my King Ranch. I planned on putting them onto the 2012 FX4 and after much research I ended up going with the Bilstein 5100 Leveler shocks (ShockWarehouse $98 each) which can go from factory height to up to 2.5” depending on vehicle. I’m a DIY kind of guy however after getting the shock and spring off I tried to change out the shock with an older shock/strut tool and it broke. I’m lucky all the way around and I would highly advise having someone that has the proper tools to do this. Did I say HIGHLY Advise!! Anyway, in an effort to cut this story short I put it on the highest setting and my tires went on. I did have to trim some plastic away under the front bumper and take off the mud flaps.

The measurements with the factory wheels and tires at the middle top of the fenders were Front-37.5” Back-39.25” with the new setup the Front was 40.75” and the Back 40.5. Yes, the front is slightly higher however I can’t tell much of a difference plus it’s only been 2 days so it may drop some?? I was told that if it wasn’t an FX4 you shouldn’t install the Bilstein shock at the top level as FX4 has a little more aggressive shocks on the back. I know there are a lot of hard core DIY guys out there that wouldn’t think twice about tackling this job in an evening however it was more of a job than anticipated. Would I do it again? I like the feeling of accomplishment however I’m $100 dollars in for the shock change out and I’ve been told that I should get an alignment after such a job due to taking each side all apart plus it took me twice as long as I thought it should. I learned a lot so I probably would…..

To go with a different diameter tire than stock, do you have to recalibrate the speedo?

I have stock 275/55-20 and see people going to 275-60-20 and these are a bit taller. So this by theory would affect the speedo.
