Default Tire Rotation

Has my tires rotated when I went in for the oil change. When I got home I noticed they rotated straight front to rear. Is this the correct rotation? I always thought it should be done in a cross pattern.

Its in the manual... When I rotated mine I crossed the Fronts to the rear, and brought the rears straight forward. If you use 4x4 alot I think you cross all 4.

The rear tires should be brought forward to the front and the front tires should be cris crossed to the rear.

In the manual, page 249 for 2012:

left front > right rear
right front > left rear
left rear > left front
right rear > right front

To get the most even wear on all 4 tires, the fronts should be crossed when moved to the rear and the the rear tires go straight forward to the front. This method will move each tire to all four corners of the vehicle after four rotations.

If you have directional tires they go straight forward and back, no crisscross.
