Default 2013 Limited and Platinum Differences?

Anyone know the differences between the two? It looks like the Platinum you can still get engine and bed length options. Other than more chrome bits on the Platinum, I'm not seeing any additional features except more body colored trim.

The Limited has 22" wheels which is why I ordered a Platinum. 22" wheels and Michigan winters just don't mix.

Maybe you didn't see this -

Exterior
The new F-150 Limited will only be offered in a SuperCrew four-door cab configuration and in three exterior colors - Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Tuxedo Black Metallic, and White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat - combined with unique 22-inch polished aluminum wheels and center caps with a monochromatic exterior theme.

Customers will distinguish the new Limited edition thanks to its body-color front and rear bumpers, front bumper valance, side-view mirror caps, wheel-lip molding, upper fascia and grille surround. Ford is also offering chrome highlights on the bold three-bar grille, tie-down hooks lining the cargo box, the single tip of the tuned exhaust and the tow hooks on 4x4 variants.

The F-150 Limited will also be offered with segment-first HID headlamps, while "Limited" badges will remind everyone that this is a special edition version of the F-150.

Interior

The interior gets red and black full-grain leather-trimmed seats and aluminum trims on the center panel and console. The model also received voice-activated navigation with a centrally mounted 8-inch LCD screen. A power-sliding rear window features privacy tint and defrost functionality.

Like with all the latest Ford models, the new F-150 Limited comes with MyFord Touch powered by SYNC. This system has been optimized to offer easy access to truck users who may be wearing work gloves. Limited offers a unique gauge cluster design with a 4.2-inch driver-programmable productivity screen that can be customized to monitor various vehicle systems. The new series level also includes a media hub with USB ports, an SD-card reader, and RCA video input jacks. A powerful Sony Audio System is standard.

Engine
Under the hood, Ford has placed a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT EcoBoost engine that delivers a total of 365 HP at 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 420 lbs-ft at 2,500 rpm. This engine delivers an impressive 22 mpg highway for 4x2 model.

I saw that a while ago. Other than body colored parts and 22" wheel option, most of what's in that article is available on the Lariat and Platinum for 2013 minus the unique look of the Limited.

The Limited appears to cater towards the Hip-Hop wanna be crowd.

The Platinum caters to folks with a desire to unnecessarily decorate their tailgates.

Don't forget the interior colors (red/black) in the limited is not available in lariats or platinums.

And platinum has more exterior color choices. And that damn tailgate bling.

Unfortunately so. Now they really will be "limited!" I'm of course just kidding with the EcoBoost crowd (I hope they can take a joke).

I lol'd. That does suck, they should at least offer the 5.0 or 6.2 in it as well. Don't force a V6 down peoples throat.
