tire fitment
I have looked through pages of the tire fitment thread and found no info on this.
I want to run nitto trail grapplers 295/70/17 on stock xlt rims. I want to have 2" wheel spacers as well. How much lift would I need? Would a 2.5" leveling kit work?

hmmmm... you will probably rub. thats around a 33" tall tire, and about 12.2" wide. It's really going to depend on if yo have the stock fender flares, how nobby the corners of the tires are, and what kind of luck you have.
I hvae 305/55-20 toyo AT2s and in reverse I rub in a small area on my stock fender flares when in reverse with 1.5" wheel spacers. 2" spacers will increase the arc even more than with me (I wouldnt rub if I had no, or smaller spacers) and I'm running coilovers.
Personally I'd either run smaller spacers, a less aggressive tread, or get more height to be sure. I'm gong to increase my height a bit more on my end to get just a tad over 3" lift to clear

You should be OK I just put 315/70/17 falken ats on mine(35's) with a rancho quick lift no problems and actually if they made a 36 it would just fit so if u want picks let me know I'll post up

They'll fit on the stock 17x7.5 inch wheels with no problems. No need for spacers either. A 2 inch leveling kit would be enough to clear the tires easily. Don't know what year your truck is and guessing it's a 4x4.
