I have 3.31 as well and would love to go to 3.73. Just got new tires though so I'll get it done later.

I'm leaning towards 3.73 but I think 3.55 would work for me too.

75 MPH

I too have the 3.31. I leveled the truck and put on some 295 65 18 duratracs and now its like my truck is stuck in the mud. Would like to go to 3.73 but have read that a tuner would help, is this true?

Tuner may help a little but gearing will give you what you want, gearing and tuner will give you what you need.

When comparing rpm at hwy speed you need to know that the eco has a different 6th gear ratio so they will have lower rpm speeds in 6th gear.

Digging up an old thread here. I'm finally going to regear my truck. I'm ordering an SCTx4 later this week and in another week or two I'm dropping it off at 4 Wheel Parts here in Austin for the gear swap.

I called around to a few places and all were in the $1000-1200 range for the gear swap. 4 Wheel Parts is the closest shop to my house and they'll work with my schedule, so they will most likely get my business.

I'm pretty excited to have some custom tunes and 3.73 gears. It should really wake this thing up! I'd entertained 4.10s, but I don't plan on bigger wheels/tires, and I think that might be overkill. I'm sure I'll be happy with 3.73 gears.
