Default Thinking about a leveling kit, think again

So I installed a 1.5 AS level kit in my 2014 ,had it aligned and everything ,that was 6 months ago and 20,000 miles.it did level the truck, but, the ride did get somewhat stiffer, loss bout 2 mpg, wonders more on highway, and clucking noise when full turn,So I had enough of this and removed the kit few days ago,all I can say is never again, the cons way out way the pros. The shop that I was at said he is seeing more guys removing level kits. just some info.

Seems like the 14's have more problems with levels...I don't know why some do fine and others have problems, but I've never had any problems.

How can lifting the front of your truck cost you mpgs? My 14 makes noise at full lock bine stock from time to time. Adding a spacer does zero to effect spring rates, shock stroke etc so I don't get the ruff ride part. I will agree that it could throw out angles and slightly decrease the life of certain parts but I call BS on the loss in mpg unless you upped tire size. The only difference in the front struts are the mounting points on the lca. Nothing major or drastic.

it is just the LCA that's different.

I have had a 2.5" level and 3" rear block on both my 2010 and now my 2014 and with both of them I have had issues with the UCA bumping into the coil spring at full lock. I've just dealt with it because it's not going to harm anything, especially since I'm pretty much only at full lock when I'm parking/at very low speeds. aside from that I have not had problems.

I'm thinking about going to an Icon suspension setup now, or possibly a 4" BDS kit, because I want to get into doing some 4-wheeling. otherwise I'd just leave the level because it gave me the look I wanted and that was about all I expected it to do.

The only issues I see with the leveling kits are ball joints and alignment and if you have 4wd the cv angles.

Im at a loss how it would ride stiffer. Unless it is mounted on top of the spring instead of the strut, Im not 100% sure how it affects the stiffness.
