Tailgate step

I have two of them -- the Amp Research BedStep and the SmittyBilt Beaver Step. I originally thought the BedStep was overpriced too; that is until I received it. It's very well built and is absolutely perfect for jumping into the bed with the tailgate down,
I originally bought the Beaver Step as a deterrent for tailgaters, but I have found myself standing on it on more than a few occasions to reach down into the bed without opening the tailgate. The Beaver Step is also 10000lb tow strap rated. This is serious piece of steel.

By the way, whatever you are looking at, don't forget to PM Keith at "Autoplicity" on here and give him a shot at selling you what you're looking for. So far, he's sold me the Amp Research Bedstep, Amp Research PowerStep, the Beaverstep, a Retrax Pro MX, and a couple of other miscellaneous items. Anything he could get, he beat everyone else's prices.

I just ordered the Bestop Trek Step from Auto Anything for $169 shipped. It looks to be very similar in retractable design to the Amp and is offset to the rear and left of the bumper.
The free shipping offer is good until the 31st of March.

I received the Trek step and installed today. Very heavy duty and an easy ten minute install. It fits up nice and tight to bumper and the spring loaded up and down feature works well.
To those looking to save some money over the Amp model step, I can definately recommend these.
