Default tailgate net/bed divider

Anyone use a tailgate net but install it farther forward? I have a 2x12 in the bed now, but would like to have something that's easier to deal with if I have to haul a load. I've had several instances where I've had to pick stuff up unexpectedly and had the 2x12 in the bed...makes it a pain to figure out what to do with it. A net could easily be removed and stuffed under a seat.

I have the collapsible bed bar. $25 and fits in the cab if I need to. Weighs like 3 lbs. nets stretch and won't stop a 5 gallon bucket of paint sliding forward

I have the bar that goes across and was looking at a tailgate net to attach to the bar. I have golf clubs, softball bag that I keep in the summer and want to keep it from sliding around.
