stxskidoo - TTT anyone know if the F150 emblem has holes behind it?
nolagtime - there are BIG holes behind it. Ford use some of the rectangular steel compression clips to hold the logo in place. That logo is likely $50 through parts, so ya wouldn't want it to get stolen! I had hoped it was just 3M tape holding it on, and tried removing it myself...no such luck.
Despite nolagtime unsuccessful attempt to remove it, it can be done. Use a hair dryer to heat the emblem and gently and methodically pry-up the emblem. I used nylon pry bars .....

As noloagtime noted, it is held in place by tabs with spring clips -AND- double-sided tape.
Removed mine to replace it with the Raptor version - which is silver and not chrome.

after seeing this picture, I can't help but wonder why Ford didn't secure the emblem with two screws through the two small hols on either side of the big hole there that the wires for the camera pass through 
I've read multiple times about the Ford emblem falling off the tailgate...
I have no problem with the F150 badging on my truck, but the dealer advertising stickers were the FIRST to go
