I have found that after installing the SYNC V4.4 update, my USB2 port is no longer accessible. I have installed the update twice and did a master reset hoping that would help. It did not - USB2 no longer exists.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Also, does anyone have the SYNC Gen1 - V3.2.2 available as a zip file so that I can roll back the update?

My workaround will be to open the top of the dash and swap USB ports.

You are correct doesnt recognize usb2 anymore

Thanks. That sucks since I use a USB SSD in my glove box way more than Bluetooth audio.

They just can't get it right can they?

Technically USB2 is not listed in the manuals.

Agreed, but they know about it and according to my dealer, they also know it is widely used and has caused no problems, so it's a surprise they'd deactivate it.

on my old 13 the USB2 would fail all the time, totally sucked.

On the 14 it has worked flawless.

Is the v4.4 for the touch screen or the regular Sync? ( dunno if there is even a difference)
But I am not prompting for any updates.

All I use sync for anyway is the USB2, dunno if my phone hookup is part of sync or not

Frankly, considering that USB2 was unsupported all this time, I'd far prefer to have BT metadata and automatic reconnection than access to the other USB port.

I took my 13 f-150 truck apart and couldn't find a second USB, I wanted to use it for my dash cam to, but if I had found it and got it to work I would have been pretty upset doing the update and then it wouldn't work.
