Sync-Phone Unpairing
All,
Is there a way I can easily unpair my phone from Sync? When I have people in the car I would rather not have to deal with rejecting phone calls or talking to people on speakerphone (aka: In the truck) I know I can turn off my bluetooth on my phone, but if there is a way to do it easily through the truck, that would be great to know. Reconnecting easily would also be nice but I can deal either way.
PS-I searched the forum to no avail on the topic, but I have not researched my manual.

I would like to know an easier way myself...
Or at least an easy way to go into privacy mode, I have done it several times by mistake, but can't seem to duplicate how I do it.
I disconnect either at SYNC through the menus, or by turning bluetooth off on the phone.
Re-pairing is actually easy, turn bt on at the phone, then press the phone button and the reconnect.

It's probably easier done at the phone level. Turning BT off and then back on when you want. Many phones have a silent or "airplane" mode that is 1 or 2 clicks away.
You can go into the BT system settings and remove your phone from being connected through sync. I'm guessing attaching it would just be like doing it the 1st time. May have to download your contacts again. Don't know though.

You don't want to go to Airplane mode as this will turn off the radio side of you phone as well (no calls).
Check the Sync Supplemental guide.
It shows you can turn off BT on the truck by:
Press the Phone button to enter the phone menu
Scroll to System Settings Press OK
Scroll to BT Device Press OK
Scroll to BT ON/OFF select the mode you want and press OK

Unfortunately, I'm in Afghanistan right now so there are times I don't have anything better to do than study the 47 different manuals it seems Ford decided to publish for the F150. At least it keeps me out of trouble.
