Default Sync with iPhone 5 bluetooth text message support (MAP)

Hey guys...

So I was reading and found this link about iPhone users can now sync their phones to our Fords to read text messages.

http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...c-myford-touch

Does this work on the 2009's? I tried and cannot get the "show notifications" to show under the device Bluetooth settings. I am using an iPhone 5.

Thanks for your help!

Doesn't on mine with a Verizon iPhone. Used to work great with my Android phone, but for some reason it won't work in my F150 or in my 13 Expedition for that matter

I can use Siri, but not regular Sync. Must be something to do with Verizon's version

Same boat here. iPhone 5 and no go for text notifications or turn by turn through the speakers using iMaps on iPhone. Been a huge disappointment since day 1.

This says it's for MyFordTouch, which I don't think is available on the '09.
stmartin84, I use Bluetooth Audio to listen to Pandora and iTunes. This, in turn, pipes the rest of my iPhone's audio through the stereo, including Siri, Maps navigation, and GPS Drive.

Yep, all that works on mine, but no text.
