Sync and the Galaxy S3

I just got it as well, works perfectly, does not fit in cup holder unless you remove the insert, then it will. I set mine on the little shelf above the nav personally, but this is where I've set all my phones. Best phone out right now if you can handle the large size. I was apprehensive at first but I love it now that I'm used to it, makes my droid razr seem small and I used to think that phone was huge, lol! If you have a tiny hand you might not love it, but I've mastered using it with one hand, which was my largest concern of not being able to do so when getting it.

Galaxy S3 owners, how do you turn off the annoying "one new email" or "new message from ....." voice? I have a notification sound picked (not the annoying voice) and sometimes it makes that sound, sometimes the voice, and sometimes both. Any help?

No, honestly I don't use the txt feature very often, that's why I need to be able to use the phone one handed, haha!

I bought the Galaxy S3 and hated it. The signal on it was horrible and the battery life sucked. I think the worst thing about it though had to be the keyboard autocorrect. I tried downloading different keyboards, but they didn't work in some of the apps such as eBay. I use eBay daily and it just pissed me off so I returned it.

You could have just turned off auto correct! Thats what I did since I had the same issue as you!

I have a '12 also and I haven't used it yet but did play with it at a stop light yesterday. I just brought it up on the screen and saw a bunch of messages. I picked one and then the recipients button lit up. I touched it and my phonebook came up. I didn't do it but assumed I would select a user and then send it.
Does yours not do that?
