Hi all,

I just started having issues with my sync. It doesn't hear me talk and it wont go to blue tooth audio. It used to work perfectly before, no issues at all. I did the reset. Has this happened to anybody else? do you have a fix to it?

I ran into a problem with mine where almost half of the time it was failing to sync with my phone. When I would select sync it would try and then switch straight over to Sirius radio. I did not have Sirius radio, however some channels would work when this happened. Nothing I did would fix it until I shut down the truck, removed the key, opened the door, and started it again.


I never did get a proper fix, however this problem only happened when I had a USB drive plugged into the port. It has been around 8 months since I pulled out my 64g flash drive and I have not had the problem repeat itself since then.


Hope yours is as simple as that, or that you find an answer so I can start using my flash drive again.

I don't have a flash drive plugged in on mine and its been 2 days now, so plenty of start up and shut downs. I too was hoping it would just fix itself... no such luck so far.

I've had this problem. Sync is garbage.

Take the fuse out for Sync. Some guys have done that and it's fixed it for them. The only time Sync works perfectly is at the dealership.

I have for the most part not had a problem with sync up until now... Caniscream, can you tell me where the fuse for sync is located?

Have you checked your Owner account for updates: Owner.Ford.com Log in and select the SYNC & HOW TOS tab then CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES. If there is an update available, you'll see the option to download.

I agree, Sync is GARBAGE!! After i updated mine with the new version 4.4 or WTF it is. my phone wouldn't connect, so i took it to the dealer. When i picked it up i asked them what did. they said the pulled the sync fuse and after 5 mins put back in. They said that's what they do for the sync issues. So i wasted time out of my day and had to use a few hours of personal leave for work. When i could have done this crap at my house.

Now a few months later every time... and i do mean ever time i sync my phone my phone reboots...
