Default Swapped my '13 F150 out for another '13 F150!

Hi all,

I'm not new to this forum. Last weekend, I traded my 2013 regular cab STX 5.0 in for a 2013 crew cab FX2 EcoBoost. My main reasoning was 4 full doors, twin turbos and all the bells/whistles. My trade-in had 16,000 miles while my new truck has 80,000 miles. I didn't really flinch with the miles, as I know the EcoBoost is a tough engine and can go the distance. I have a few questions regarding high mileage ecoboost F150s after reading about spark plugs, condensation, and carbon buildup.

1. I want to hear my turbos! How effective is a cold air intake? Would a better flowing filter do the job?
2. Does the Chevron/Techron additive really help with carbon buildup? I plan to buy some and switch to Mobil 1.
3. Would it be a waste of money to do a passenger side catch can? I know my truck has miles on it, so it's probably had it's fair share of blow-by, but they were highway miles.. I also live in Florida, and we have plenty of rain and humidity during the summer. I can't afford a monster intercooler, so I thought a catch can would do the job.
4. Would I be risking anything if I bought a tuner went with something like a 5 star 87 performance/economy tune? 80,000 miles is probably just getting broken in on this truck, so I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be overly chancing anything.

cold air will allow you to hear the turbos a bit more, I had the 5 star tuner, using the economy tune I saved lots of fuel, but you'll hear even less of the turbos

You may want to check under the front of that truck.
There seems to be some stuff missing.

If I can see the parking lot, then air can bypass your IC.

@KJ_Smith - It's all there. The only thing missing is that three channel insert. From what I've seen, some trucks have it, others don't. I plan on ordering it. My 5.0 didn't have anything either

Nice, really like the PTM flares on the fx2's. Wished my fx4 had them.

Remove the blow off valve tube to really hear the turbos, also add a catback exhaust to hear them even more!

rickey498 - I love them. Huge improvement over stock halogens. Abraham5G - How hard is it to do that? Any downside?

Thanks for the feedback. I am trying to talk my wife into this mod. You should pull those reflectors of your mirrors and black them out.
