LOL ... I tried telling you before ... that is the EXACT thing I had happening after I did my AS 1.5" kit. It turns out that after rotating the struts 180 degrees to install the kit, the springs had to "re-settle" ... I'm not sure what exactly was hitting what to cause the sound, but what I did to fix it was spray the ever-loving heck out of everything that moved on the front end suspension parts ... Used WD40 to spray every connection and pivot point, and even the bushings for the sway bar and the bushings on both top and bottom of the coil springs on the struts. I did that, then drove around a bit forcing full flex of my suspension at full lock both ways of the steering ... and it went away once everything settled in - which only took a minute or so.

That was a couple months ago, and the sound has not come back, and the truck's front end is smooth as butter from lock to lock at slow or fast speeds.

Just do what I did and it SHOULD go away.

EDIT TO ADD: one of my previous posts about this condition ... https://www.f150forum.com/f38/front-...2/#post3660870

I will try this tomorrow, and post back here tomorrow night. That would be so awesome if it fixes the noise. Pretty sure I have some wd40, I use pb blaster a lot but it's a bit oily for this I think.

well I did both sides on the LCA/UCA, sway bar, bushings for the top/bottom of springs, UBJ/LBJ drove it around to do some errands this morning and after about 30 minutes of doing the suspension flexing like you mentioned it is still there.

From listening to it a bit more, it is not a deep noise, I envision it being something thinner metal as it is more of a SNAP for sure than a CLUNK or THUD type of noise. I did take a ratchet and tap around a good bit to see if anything sounded even close to it, LCA is the closest sound I could find.

Any thoughts on the camber plates/bolts being a culprit? Alignmnent place said they didn't see anything that had been moving there. The sway bar was a thunk when tapped too.

PB and rubber don't get along well. Stick to WD40 for hosing bushings and stuff.

I assumed you did, but I just wanted to throw that out there. I have had it unintentionally ruin stuff in the past... though I don't recall now what it was

Seems a bit more oily. I use PB on rusted things generally.

I'm surprised it didnt work for you ... but I'd suggest you try ONE more time before giving up. Like I said, the sound you're hearing is exactly what I was hearing on mine. It wasn't there at first ... then it was only when locked all the way right. Then it started showing up when locked out in both directions. I did the WD40 the first time and didn't get as crazy with it, and it seemed to help a little ... but then it came back. The second time I did it I went nuts w/ the WD40, and it went away almost immediately.

If you try again and it doesn't help, then I am not sure what to tell you other than to check every bolt/nut and make sure everything is torqued down properly.

hope you get it fixed soon.

I plan on trying again this evening. It's definitely more of a loud snap.

I even checked lug nuts!
