Same here, I dont care for them... I installed the oem hids on my 12, and the auto feature turns the heads on too early imo... I dont use the feature, or understand why most op want it!

If I leave my heads or parking lights on when I turn off the truck, the annoying dinger reminds me to shut them off! No need for auto heads on my rig!

Including this truck, my last 3 vehicles have had it. Now I'm just used to it. Also, I don't always remember to turn my lights on in fog conditions, which happens often in the river valley, and is law here in MN. Not so much in WI where I live, but I work in MN. When I lived in Massachusetts, it was more so. Half an hour before sunset was law. It took care of that, if I forgot. Which was often, because I can still see fine at that time. (before anyone says, "I doubt you'll get pulled over for it," a brother in law, and former co worker has been pulled over for it. I also drove past 3 police stations with cops that were known to pull you over for ridiculous reasons. No so much now though) Also before I installed them, my headlights did not come on with my wipers, also law(in mass) , now they do.

Do I need them? No. But it's nice. Like the heated mirrors I installed. Do I need those? No. But it's currently -5f right now, and can snow sometimes twice a week here, so they are nice as well.

My previous 4, and current 2 vehicles have it! I like it on the Ford more because you have the Option to enable or disable it! On my Chevy, its always on when you start the vehicle untill you disable it! Which I always do after starting the SUV...

I always turn my heads on in foggy/rainy weather...
