The lens looks like its screwed to it. Easiest fix for yours would be to go buy some Meguiars Plastic X polish and just polish the scratch out. If its really deep you might try some 2000 grit sand paper on it in a SMALL area and polish from there. Don't use a dremel to do the polishing, you'll burn through the lens.
I've done this several times.
here's the lenses from my '67 mustang.

Nice! It didn't require any special programming or anything? I know in my '05 Mustang, the car wouldn't start after a cluster swap until the cluster was programmed to read your key and the car's ecu.
I may have to keep my eyes peeled for an FX4 cluster. Any idea what Ford charges for a new one?

this cluster runs $450ish through Tasca new.
If you buy one from ford I don't think they'll let you walk out with it and will require that you get the mileage programmed for the intended vehicle, so probably $700ish total?
After having my rear window busted out and then a tire tread kicked up by the car in front of me on the way home yesterday I've decided to sell this to cover some of the bad luck I'm having/have had. Its in the for sale section, price is very OBO.

If you've had good results, I'm not afraid to give it a shot then.
They are very light scratches. I'm just **** about things like; the visor on my bike/snowmobile helmets, windshield, etc.
I need them clean and clear. Only thing in my life I'm very OCD about.
Thanks for the courage.

pulling into work this morning I could see light scuffs(so thanks for making me paranoid about this) all over mine. I was extremely careful doing the swap so they are easily scratched. every other vehicle I've owned I've cleaned w/ a soft microfiber and meguiars interior detail spray and had zero issues.

Another trick I use on scuffed plastic is pledge furniture wax/polish. The wax builds up in the scuffs and hides them. I do this on soft top jeep windows but haven't tried it on interior clear plastics intentionally but I have used pledge on the dash stuff.

I agree with you. I think pledge works great on the interior. I've tried telling my friends to try it for years, and they look at me like I'm nuts. Actually works damn good on granite countertops too.
I will say, I haven't tried any clear plastic yet. I have plenty of old electronics that can be sacrificed for the greater good though!

there's like 3 threads floating around w/ partials on how to do this, i'll try to pull them together into 1 thread here
dash is super easy, screws hold the top of the plastic bezel to the dash. 7mm nut driver is the only tool for the cluster swap. get the 2 screws out, grab the sides of the bezel and pull outward, drop the steering wheel all the way down and put the truck in 1st gear, set the parking brake! now's a good time to get out and disconnect the battery too.

harnesses were 100% compatible.
