No, nothing wrong with it, but its a little overkill. A 9,000 would be sufficient for that truck.

Not really overkill, rule of thumb is 1 1/2 times the weight of truck, so 6000 pound truck would require. 9000# winch but then you need to account for the "stuck" as that will also add to the equation. Say it is buried frame deep in mud, you will be winching the 6000# truck but you will also need to over come the mud and friction.

predator3 you have done an awesome job. Wow that truck looks good and sexy. I'm from Columbus and I travel to Ohio all the time. I even have family in Youngstown, Warren and Akron. It makes me want to go visit them on purpose so I can see this truck in person. For that matter of fact, I would pay you to add some goodies to my own tuck. This is so very nice. I'm sure Strawberry will love it. Wow

This truck hasn't been all that hard to modify so far most parts are just bolt on... that being said the 492 lb bumper was a chore. She just ordered the Bushwacker fender fairs today. That will be required to be modded to fit the new bumper.
On the "to do list":
Iron Cross rear, back up cam and lastly TIRES. That last mod may be October November time frame when she is closer to redeploying state side. Lotta time to find the right size and deal on them.

How does a 492 lb bumper alter the ride of these trucks? Sounds scary...
