Yes, I gathered that from the last few pages, but I imagine as long as I break no clips during the tear down, it shouldn't be too scary outside of being a major PITA. Then again this is based off my experience from removing my 03's dash.

Tested it again today and can confirm that the smell seems to depend on my fan speed. On the lowest setting (manual XLT climate control), it gives me the manure/barn smell, but if I have the fan speed > half way up, I get the chemical "band-aid" smell that most people report.

Got me curious. Bought it for $7 bucks. Why not shoot it in there and see what happens. I know it's only a Band-Aid.
The A Zone did have the better one with the long hose, for $18 dollars.
If this helps even a little, maybe I'll grab a couple cans of the better one off Amazon, for only $11.

Good luck, its really sad that in this day and age, consumers have to deal with issues like this! My ac is still on the fritz, and at this point Ford just cant fix it. Its sad that they (Ford) dont have a special team to deal with tough but resolveable issues.

Profit over customer satisfaction is what it is all about now.

Let us know!

Saw this question on a Cadillac forum and the most responses were to check the trunk for a dead Hooker.

I know one thing right off. There's no spraying directly into the vents inside.
The directions say-"to spray the remainder into the vents". Well they curve immediately, and even with a longer nozzle it's just hits the back and will puddle. So don't bother.
I sprayed the whole can into the intake vent outside in front of the windshield.
The short 5 minutes I tested the A/C this morning smelled nice, but we'll see when the temperature warms up and that odor comes alive again.

Ordered this: http://api.viglink.com/api/click?for...p%2FB0007PHD0S

Digital Trucker linked it for me. Tried to find the same/comparable product and the local yokels looked at me like I had two heads. The concept of A/C deodorizing was too much. After some education I was told two weeks before they had it in. So I ordered that, should receive it Wednesday. Of course KY in springtime smells like manure anyways, so results might be a bit skewed.
