I've been having the same problem on my 2012. Started around Feb. of this year. Dealer could not find anything when I had it there in April. I hate to have the "experimental truck" since they have not had any other vehicles in with this complaint or heard of this problem as of yesterday.

Anyone in the Chicago area know of a dealer that is aware of this problem?

I'm about 40miles southwest of Chicago
So far Mike Rod Baker has been worthless on getting mine resolved. Also had it at Ron Triapelli and then couldn't duplicate or smell it. Ford really needs to take a look how Acura, Honda, and Infinity dealerships handle problems.

My replaced evaporator is smell free after a few months so far everything is good.
I let them have it over night and didn't smell anything. When I dropped it off I kept the A/C off then had him turn it on and the dealership. I could smell it and he couldn't. It's getting frustrating to have to keep taking it in to be told they can't smell it. I have the smell from mild to nasty stink every day. Some days it's so bad I roll down the windows for a few minutes. My kids even notice the smell from the back seat.

They have had the truck dropped off the night before and never seem to smell it. I could smell it when the service advisor turn on the A/C but he didn't. My truck is a 2012 F150 eco with 56,0000 miles on it. I have extended warranty that covers everything until 125,000 miles. Also have rust bubbles on the running boards and was told I need to back to the dealer where I bought it from to see if they can do anything to fix it. I find it hard to believe that any Ford Dealer can't fix problems. What happens if i moved out of state would the dealer tell me I have to go back to the original dealer to get things covered?

Yeah not much more you can do it seems not all dealerships are eager to satisfy their customers and having another close by dealer isn't an option for everyone. Hopefully the CSR here can help you.

Reach out to me via PM, flyinfry; I'll escalate this up to your regional customer service manager. In your message, be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. Leave the rest to me.

Same problem here. Smelled like a box of band aids. Chocked it up to "new car" for the first 20k. It was getting bad enough that I had to open the windows to air out the cab in order to breathe when I fired it up. Also noticed I was losing cooling performance. Told the maintenance scheduler at the dealer to have them check it out and that I suspected the evaporator(based on findings in this thread). She called me a few hours ago and confirmed it was leaking and that they would be replacing it. Should be done tomorrow.

My dealership was unable to find any problem or look into it any further; they're just going to give it the cleaning spray into the vents...lovely.

Yeah the stink gets old fast. I don't drive my FX4 much but drive the XLT daily. The XLT has yet to make any stench of any kind....... but fire the heat especially on the FX4.... and the bandaid smell will give you a headache. I really don't know what to do with it to be honest. The dealers either can't smell it or tell me there is nothing they can do about it.

It's just ironic.... I write this today and the dealer I took my truck to last about a month ago calls me to ask how the truck is doing. I just explained it still stinks and gives me a headache like before I had brought it in. They reiterated there is absolutely nothing they can do about it and it's unfortunate. Thanks........
