Hi everyone! I was driving somewhere and accidentally pressed multiple buttons on my AC blower controls and got an interesting result. Watch here:


Basically pressing the power and defroster button simeultaneously for a few seconds followed by a brief press of the power button causes the climate control system to reset and enter some higher end climate control mode with independent automatic controls and external temperature that have never showed up before. While in this mode the blower runs about half speed but all other controls are inoperable.

The glitch appears harmless, resetting itself with another press of the power button. Has anybody else encountered this strange switch in modes?

That's good to know! thought it might be a glitch of some sort. Makes sense with all segments illuminating at once.

Found it on my 2010 a few years ago. It's how I found you can add ext temp readout to it.

I did this on mine. Showed the dealer and the one guy was blown away. Another tech told me it's for when it rolls off the line so they can test the lights.
