Hey 40MM...I see in your SIG, you have a 2014 with a 6.2 in it. I didn't know you could still get that??

Granted, people have found ways to bypass this, but from the factory, they all turn off the fogs when brights go on. I know most people don't bother to educate themselves on cars in general, but if they knew that, see lights they perceive to be too bright, yet fogs lights are on, they would know they would be looking at the low beams. Hell when I took drivers ed, one of the points that always stuck with me was never to flash your lights at people. They aren't ready for it and it can cause more trouble than is necessary for the both of you if you blind them or distract them enough to cause an accident. If you see brights, look down at the lane marker line on the right side of your vehicle to make sure you are staying in your lane (or where the edge of the pavement is if there are no lines) and do that until the car passes. Let someone else flash them and take the risk.
good info. I was getting flashed quite a bit on a small road trip so pulled over and aimed them down. If they are bothering that many people that you are constantly getting flashed, just aim them down for everyone's safety. You'll lose a couple of feet of distance, not a big problem for most

Your lights are brighter and whiter. It does look like you may have brights on and in my little Focus I can see why. We are use to a softer yellow light and when a truck or SUV goes by us short vehicles it will light up the inside of our cars. I don't find it that big of an issue myself but the light ***** will.

I have been flashed a handful of times in the 42,000 kms I have driven so far, nothing to worry about. I can see why because I'm extremely sensitive myself to badly-aimed / little-too-bright headlights.

I do love the light output compared to a regular non-HID system though!

Default Flashers!

Suprisingly I have not been flashed by more than a couple drivers. I thought for sure I would be getting it constantly when I first got the truck as these HID'S are BRIGHT!!!.....I will be sure to adjust em a bit when I level it up though. I am really happy so far w/ the light output

Been reading this post. 2014 with Lear cap and empty bed. Stock truck.
I drove last night (a test) for first time. Low beam HID lights trees to 10'. Couldn't see much differance between low and hi they were off so much.

I then adjusted by owners manual and they were hi about 15" at 25'. I don't think cap made that much difference so was off from factory.

careful who you flash with those. I had a car flash his lights at me because he though my high lights were on (i was in my other truck) and i flipped on my 30" bar. He responded by flipping on the red and blues... didnt notice it was a cop. Luckily he just kept going, but they are off-road lights and illegal to use on the road. Just a heads up.
