Question on swapping new tires for old...
Hey guys, new to the forum and hope to be here a long time and share some of my experiences and future pictures. and learn a few things about my truck.
I have a 2010 SCrew long bed FX4, Red, 5.4 Liter. The truck came with 20in rims and Pirelli Scorpions on it and kinda miss my 18s with Brand new Revo2s on it. The dealership has agreed to switch the wheels and tires on the two trucks before the 2007 sells. I really like the idea but would it be better to sell the 20in rims and Purelli's and buy new rims and tires? Are they worth that much more? Def want 18s and Revo2s again, but should i buy what I want and sell the 20s? They want a fair swap. Ideas anyone?
Thanks for any responses and hopefully won't have any questions to ask that i need to make a quick decision on in the future. Thanks again. Can't wait to hear from my F-150 brethen.
F-150 owner since 2004...Ford owner since 1997.

I would guess that selling the stock rims and tires to buy new ones, you probably would not be ahead dollar wise, if they want to do an even swap, then go for the fair swap-but one thing, you did not how much tread is in the 18" tires, that may be the key to your decision, in case you have to be new tires soon anyway for the 18's?

Very true, I didn't mention it. I bought the Revo2s on the 07 about 2 weeks before trading the truck in. So the tread on both sets of tires are A+ (about 500 miles on both). I know it seems wierd to trade in a 07 with brand new tires and all the 60K mile maintenance done but hey they offered alot more than I expected. I gave them an amount that KBB said would be way over tradein value and they took it. Got a truck with more options for a smaller payment and $8k cash in my pocket. But still not overly happy with truck yet. Im sure it will grow on me .
Thank you for the response. Was leaning to the even swap. Anyone else got an opinion? Thanks again.
