I asked if they can repair it and was told by the service manager that it's absolutely 100% designed that way and they can't fix something was designed that way.

I just want my damn truck and tired of bitching at them. It's either take it the way it is or start all over and find another truck in Arizona what doesn't have hanging headliner.

No I don't have a sunroof and I don't know what they mean by there's two different styles of headliner. One that seats nicely all across the windshield and rear window and one that seems to be hanging in the 4 spots.

He went with the fleet manager and looked at a bunch of trucks on the lot and said that some of them are hanging and some are not. He said one was hanging even more then mine on the drivers side windshield and was even frayed a lot on the edge of the headliner. I would think then there was an issue if he saw that.

But whatever, I just want my truck.

Here's a photo of my rental 2013 F150 with 12k miles. The driver side is hanging down almost an inch and the passenger side is only hanging about 1/8"
I don't believe it was designed this way.

They said there's two different styles, One that fits flush all along the windshield and rear window and one that has the hanging sections.

So I guess that means no repair for my truck.
that really doesn't sound right. why would they make a headliner with hanging sections. i would try another dealer or somthing, That sucks.
now that i see the pic you just put up, There is no way this is right. Why would they build it like that it looks like crap.

kend,

I recommend working with your dealer to get this resolved, as they are in the best position to assist with any pre-sale concerns. All of our vehicles go through extensive quality checks before hitting the lot. If anything should come up once you bring it home, Crystal and I are here to help.

Thank you very much Ashley and Crystal.
I think I'm going to look for a different truck. Even the fleet manager says he wants me to be happy and not settle for something I'm not 100% happy with and suggested finding something else.

So he sent in another vehicle to Mimics for a worksheet and we'll see what happens.
This one has only been on the lot for less than a month and has only 3 miles on it.
AND, it has EVERYTHING I wanted as the last one plus sunroof, NAV, and max tow package.
BUT, it's $2k more and don't know if I'll be able to swing it.
But we'll see what happens.
