Default Bilstein 6112 on 2014?

Has anybody put 6112's on a 2014 4x4? I'm considering 2015+ pre assembled coilover 6112's from Shock Surplus. Wondering if they'll fit and spring rate.

Well, I put those on my 2013. They're excellent. Bilstein's springs seem perfectly capable, also.

Ya, the problem is 2014 has a different shock mount that's why I need the 2015 version. That then brings up 2015's are lighter than 2014's so the spring/shock rates are probably different. Bilstein states that they do not make a 2014 front shock for F150's. I don't think it would be much of difference; just a nagging doubt...

Probably too late but I did it. Used 2013 6112s. Pressed out the bushings, replaced with class 8 heavy bushings and used Halo Lift bar pins. I had to open up the class 8 bushings a bit on the drill press but they work great.

A little more specific on parts needed/procedure would be appretiated. I would love to do this but thought the only way was changing out the LCA? This sounds like a more sensible option.

For the cost and headache, if I had to do it again I would change out the LCAs. Also, I kind of wished I had spent more and gotteb Kings or Icons. Maybe just use the 2015 version, mine seem stiff anyway.

I'm betting King or Icon would also seem stiff. These have a different feel from stock shocks. On some roads they should be smoother, but on some they feel stiffer.

Just curious what height you chose for your 6112's? I wouldn't be maxing them out or even close probably an inch maybe 2. If you are maxed out, maybe I would have a softer ride being lower. Also my truck is on the heavy side of F150's. I do not know what configuration yours is.

I'm at middle perch to level the front with a 4.5" superlift. I used these 90.8011 HOURLASS SHOCK EYE BUSHINGS, sorry I'm having trouble finding what I bought. And if you check out Halo Lifts or Boss, they sell bar pins for $50 each. I just popped the caps off the shock base, pushed out the bushing and replaced with the energy suspension ones. The energy bushings are for class 8 vehicles. I did have to open them up a little on the drill press to get the bushing with the bar pin in it into the shock eye. Everything else was normal install and Bilstein can suck it. They told me there was no way and I've had them on for about 30k miles. My recent troubles were due to hew tires and the idiots at the shop inflating them to 50 instead of 40 like I asked. I was contemplating a new setup, but all is good.

Nice work and nice truck. It took some fortitude to push forward after they said it couldn't be done. I also like the fender flares, one style I would strongly consider if I have to go that route, not a big fan of the fake bolt ones. Glad they are working out. I also wonder how big of a deal 2015 6112's would really be.
