Default Some Slippery S.O.B's

Well today was interesting leaving university. I consider myself to be very athletic and agile young man with great balance... but oh boy did I eat it on my running boards. And I mean hard haha, almost wish someone would have seen... Anyways I've noticed how slippery those buggers can be with a little snow or water on my boots long before but never did anything about it. After my little kick in the *** I figured now would be a good time.

So heres my solution. I taped off my APP package running boards so that only the raised bumps were exposed. Then grabbed the can of clear slip doctor anti slip coating used for bathtubs steps etc. (used on our boat worked great) and sprayed away. Let dry. Bingo, couldn't even slip if I tried now. Don't know why I didn't think of this before but man it worked awesome. Im sure any clear antislip bathtub coating would do the trick, just had a can of slip doctor already. Best part is you can't see it at all, looks like nothing was applied.

Hope this saves a few guys out there, I know I've heard plenty comments from others on them being dangerous at times.

I've eaten it when I had a little bit of ice and snow on my running boards, and I'd either grab the grab handle in time or I'd bail.

I like your solution though

Great idea. Can you see the coating on there?

Not at all blends right in, I only see a texture difference with my naked eye if I'm 4-5 inches away from it. I didn't bother with a picture since you can't see anything different which is great!

What was applied on to our boat has stood up great and its been on for over a year in the sun and water constantly. Cant see having any problems. They make different versions of the stuff, the one I used was the marine. Also just looked and they now make one for outdoor plastic playsets and stuff. They obviously designed it to stand up to the elements.

I have used this product. It is nice. We used it on the tile floors in the basement shower for my inlaws ( old farts) and it is great. We also used it on the kitchen floors. You can not slide and bust your *****. It holds up pretty well to wear and tear. Great stuff.
