Well I bought my iPad....and it auto updated to IOS 7.1.
So Im screwed when it comes to Jailbreaking!!!

Although...I am not near my truck until Aug and have a question for you.
Without jailbreaking your iPad....did it show the Accessory screen when connected to a MACBOOK/Computer!? Or just when you are plugged into the USB on the truck!?

Reason I ask is cause on my iPad (IOS 7.1) it does not have an "Accessories screen" when connected to my macbook. Is this normal on iOS 7.0.6!?

Checkout 6:37 in the video...there is a "CarDisplay" function. I wonder if this helps with the "Acc Splash screen"!?
When enabled it send the iPad/iphone display to the cars already installed screen....BUT, if disabled, does it let you connect and use the iPad screen itself without displaying an Accessories connected screen!? hmmm

I just discovered "My Dashboard"...looks to be a little better than Dasbox I think. Looks like it could be expanded down the rd.

Check it out on App Store .

The music player is redone and is nicely laid out. I emailed the developers and I guess it's under new ownership, they got back to me super quick and said they are trying to get the app on a development path based on user feedback. I had upgraded to the full version before the update, but I think the app is free or $0.99 or something.
X2, after reading your post I tried it out and really like it. Much more "factory like".

Can you take some screenshots of this?

I don;t have any screenshots on my phone, but I like dashbox a lot.

Great large screen visual of the album art while playing, easy to use.

Ook so I just found the time to install my iPad mini in my dash....
The tablet turns on with the turn of a key, but is not turning off/locking the screen when the key is turned off. Is this a setting I have to click in the "settings"?
