Default So sick and tired of.....

To start off I have owned many Fords. My current 2013 F-150, 2-2003 F-150s, 2007 Ranger, 1989 Mustang, 1991 Mustang, 2002 Taurus, 2006 Mazda Tribute(same as a escape). Out of the 7 other vehicles totaling almost 500K miles, my current 2013 F-150 with only 30K miles has been back to Ford it seams like once a month, ALL the others combine NEVER needed to go back to Ford! I'm Ford loyal and this is making me regret my purchase. It has been in for flaking paint on upper bumper pad, door keypad lights stopped working, rattles in the doors 3 times, drive shaft spline bump 4 time, yes I said FOUR and my A/C isn't as cold as it should be.

Yesterday I dropped the truck off to have the A/C looked at and the drivetrain bump fixed again. Today they called me to say the tech didn't feel the bump and he also got 42* temps coming out of the vent using MY temp probe I keep in the vent. That's BULL ****! I have had that temp gauge in that same vent for OVER a year and it has NEVER gotten colder than 48-49*, EVER regardless what the temp is outside! Yet he says he got it to 42* in the hour 2 hours he looked at it, that's a damn lie! He also reports that he doesn't feel the bumper. Well I have had the DS greased twice and the entire DS replaced once, I think I know what it feels like.

I told them the rental, Black 2014 Chevy POS froze me out on the 6 mile trip to the dealer. I can drive my Silver F-150 over a hour and it's still doesn't get that cold. The service manager said its within spec and the IDS showed that the EVAP temp prove was at 38* the entire time *coughBScough*.

Me and 3 friends bought trucks around the same time all 2013, A Loaded FX2, Platinum, King Ranch, and a Lariat . Everyone of our trucks has been in for warranty work more than once.

Although it's minor stuff it's still something that just aggravates me, so much it's pissing me off.

What else can I do?!?!

That is unfortunate. Did you take the tech or service manager out for a ride to confirm the bump? I know it may be difficult to recreate a fault sometimes.

not much you can do really, this model f150 had a lot of problems, minor and major, but ford sold tons so its normal that the more that is sold the more that will have issues, I've decided this will be my last ford as I hate the after sale support. Dealer techs aren't mechanics imo they are part changers, and if not part needs to be replaced there isn't much they can do. Warranty work is only paid for if they have a part to show according to my dealership, so my dealer will charge me to fix a rattle, or squeak... My truck runs good enough but I leased it and will be in a new truck in 18 months. Ford is number 1, they sell the most trucks, but I'd say they don't care about what happens after its sold. the more gadgets these trucks get the more problems they will eventually have.

I'd have to agree. These are warranty period trucks for me...once the warranty comes up get rid of it. Many people have had no issues at all with their trucks...far more then the people that are having issues I am sure. However Ford has really dropped off on the customer service side. I was looking at the dodge eco diesel and they are having many issues, but I've also read quite a few trucks were bought back by dodge with enough pressure. I have yet to see ford step up and replace a lemon or troublesome truck. My 2014 has been a lemon from day one. Just riding out the time needed to trade it in. Not sure which way to go, I really don't like the new generation trucks, so thinking time to switch to a dodge...regardless of the issues with them. At least dodge steps up when things go wrong.

Sorry to hear the A/C issue.
I would think if Ford can't Fix the problem they could replace the problem.
I have a 2014 4x4 Lariat 3.5 Eco and my A/c will freeze you out real fast.
I hope you get you problem fixed, soon.
Good Luck.

That sucks to hear man!!! My SuperCab has rattled since day one and my dash makes a cracking sound almost daily, this is my first truck besides learning to drive on a Jeep Comanche lol and actually driving a truck daily I've just learned to live with it and let the next owner take care of the problems, I aslo have the full extended top of the line warranty etc

Mine as well. Was only 73 outside this day but humidity was 100%.

I have to turn the fan down most days and sometimes even have to adjust the temp **** to keep from freezing.
