Default Snugtop fits so much better

I was shopping for weeks, I am very picky when it comes to my truck. The Leer was recommended by the dealer but when I got my hands on both, the Snugtop was a much better finish on the edges, had a better fit and even the hardware on the door had a better feel to it. I had to wait for the Snugtop a bit longer, but it was 100% worth it. The color match of the Snugtop was superb in comparison to the Leer. The XTR is very unique and I get a lot compliments on my truck.

Do you have any more pictures? I'd like to see more in white.

I'm looking for a camper top myself, so I'm keeping an eye on this thread. Desert Dawg, your truck is damn beautiful man, I actually sold my wife on the camper top after showing her pics of your truck, lol. I'll have to wait until after the first of the year, but one will find its way onto my KR very soon.

Thanks Chicksan; I don't think you or the OP will be disappointed with the XTR.

What does the Snugtop and Leer run price wise? I just installed an Extang Encore tonneau cover and it doesnt keep the bed as dry as I would like and Im wondering if I should have gone with my original plan of putting a camper shell on.

I've owned two ARE Z series caps. They are top quality IMO. One concern I have with the Snug Top is the bars on the top of the cap. Are they capatible with Thule or Yakima products? I have the Yakima tower bars on my ARE which are removable. I use them to carry bikes mostly.

That's the reason I really like the snugtop. Yakima makes a rail that clamps to the.bars so you can put your stuff on top. I'm putting a megawarrior on mine as soon as its installed!
