I couldn't find a thread about this so...

Is it just me or does the Sirius radio sound like ***? It is even worse with my audio upgrades. It sounds like the crap mp3s I used to find on Napster 12 years ago.

I have heard sirius several times before and while it was not particularly good it was passable.

Does Ford's tuner suck in general or could mine simply be defective? Does it sound like it is 'under water' in your truck too?

Mine sounds really good. It sounds just as good as when I plug in my ipod, really clear. Can't say if it's Ford's tuner or if urs is defective because my truck didn't come with it from the factory.

Will have to agree with the guys above... My Sirius sounds awesome... As good as or better than all my other media types! Either burnt or plugged in! Oh and yes it came stock...

I always thought it sounded a little "tiney" But it might be just the head unit as I have upgraded the rest of the gear. -shrugs-

I find it to sound inferior to FM radio, and more noticeably worse than my MP3 player.
I don't think it is intolerable, but it is certainly worse than the options.

Mine sometimes has that digital Darth Vader sound to it.........phasing type of sound. Most times it sounds just fine.
