If you're really concerned -

Won't help any with punching a hole in the bottom though.

On my old 2004 FX4 you could not even get the hose down the filler neck no matter what size hose you used. There is some kind of screen inside the filler neck that prevents you from siphoning gas. There on all the new vechiles I have heard.

Exactly. Must be designed just for gas station nozzles. Ford is not stupid! Locking cap is for those that want to feel better.

I don't think you can siphon gas out of any newer vehicles I need gas for the lawn tractor last year and first I tried the 2002 Ram van yup the hose wont go into the tank next, 2004 Yukon same thing next 2008 mustang and nope wont work, I'm starting to run out of options next my old truck which was a 09 Dodge ram and wallah it didn't work by now I'm, so my only option left is the 63 ford and back in the old days you could siphon them with a garden hose so I grab my can and my fancy siphon pump thingy and sure enough some in the past put a .99 cent spring in the filler neck to keep the riff-raff from stealing his gas...

Can I still siphon gas from my tank to use in generators, lawn mowers, chainsaws, or camp stoves?

I got a new 2014 and haven't tried it yet, but suspect it's still possible with the filler funnel that comes with the truck.

Fuel can easily be siphoned from the tank ...
  • insert funnel for the "easy fuel" filler. *For a few $$$ anyone can get one from a FoMoCo dealer.
    .
  • use a hose that will fit thru the funnel.

    VOLARE! Siphoned fuel.

All vehicles manufactured after the 70s i believe, have anti siphoning features except for bigrig tanks.

The link is no longer active. But hear there is some kind of screen now.

I will be researching potential fuel system mods to allow access to gas. I plan to use gas from my truck regularly
