Default Sideview Mirror Lights

I was wondering if anyone knows if it will be possible to either put the puddle lamps and turn signal lamps in the mirrors (all ready with power) on the STX trim level. Because i noticed there are black inserts where the lamps would be. Or would you have to replace the entire mirror? Thanks!

Yeah... I'm curious about that too.

I've got the yellow LED signal lights... but noticed the other night that I don't have puddle lights, which I thought was strange.

There's a hole plug underneath the mirrors that I guess would be where puddle light would be? I pulled the plug off but didn't notice any wiring in there, although it was dark out when I checked.

Hey thanks guys. I also pulled the blank panel off where the puddle light would be and no wires. I conclude that i would only need to purchase the lights and then wire them in, therefore no new mirrors would be needed.

correct... i installed the led turn signals on my stx a few months ago. just need to make your own wiring harness and tie into the wiring harness that plugs into the mirror.

Thanks kidrock, do you think you could explain the wiring? Was it complicated?

They're the little lights on the underside of the mirror that shine down on the ground at the foot of the truck. The idea is that when approaching the car in the dark, you can see whats on the ground around it (like puddles). Mine come on when the doors open, or when you unlock it with the key fob.
