Do you have the short box? I would say Go for it, it isn't that bad of a price and as other have said it doesn't say raptor... to me I don't find it any different than getting a grill you like from a different model. I think it would look great on the silver too...... But then again maybe you could think of your own and make one up on your computer. I know there are places that will do decals that you come up with. I don't know the price but it would set your truck apart from everyone else!

I also like this idea and wonder how it would look. This is the best I could find, an FX4

I think with the black decal there would be too much contrast against all the chrome on an XLT unless you have the raptor/HD tails. I think The grey decal would compliment the chrome nicely and look pretty badass. Although it might not show up well enough on a Sterling Grey? Or maybe the subtle grey on grey could be a nice touch.

Just like most others on this dam website, I encourage you to waste more money on trivial mods that make your truck awesome and unique, so I say do it

This is exactly what I'm aiming to do. There is a guy supposedly makes cool customer replacement custom 4x4 stickers for F150s, I'll try and find him and have him do something cool with that, then surround it with the mud splash. When all is said and done, I'll post a pic.

That looks pretty cool. I like the way he kept the FX4 in the mix. I like the idea of the color going along with the chrome scheme.

Thinking about the same thing...The guy who did my tint said about $120 to install if I supplied the graphic...

Any pic's yet?

Do what you want man. The second you do your first mod the truck is no longer what it was coming off the assembly line! I'm strongly considering doing the "tremor" stripes and hood package and couldn't care less about what people said.

I had raptor wheels on my 08 XLT 4x4. I thought they looked awesome. Do what makes you feel good about your truck.

I say do it if you like the decal, it's your truck and you make it how you like it, nobody else has any say in that until they start making the payments on it and your insurance.

I personally don't like that decal, not even on a Raptor, I prefer a clean look.

But there is nothing saying that decal is strictly for a raptor... it's a piece of vinyl, it can be applied to any surface if it fits. It doesn't say raptor, it's just a splash graphic.

If you really like it go for it. But your money would be better invested in a Nav system.... Kenwood makes some awesome ones.
