Default Shows trailer connected all the time....?

My 2012 recently defaulted to showing that a trailer is always connected. Every time I start the truck it shows trailer connected (with no actual trailer). It also is accumulating "trailer towing" miles. Anyone had this happen?

Cleaned connector at rear bumper. Wiring looks fine.

Your problem isn't in your trailer connector, you need to go to your trailer screen and to select a trailer and select no active trailer. If you go in to your list of trailers and select one to check mileage or just playing around it sets it as it is hooked up and will default to that screen and accumulate mileage on that trailer. Go to no active trailer and your settings will revert back to normal. I've learned this the hard way before. Lol
