I'm not normally one to criticize or express my opinion on somebody else's truck, but in this case, I have to agree. Take those mirror covers OFF.

Way ahead of y'all. Those pics were from the dealer. Those things are in the trash already. Will try to get new pics soon.

My buddy and I put a RGB SMD halo and some RGB SMD strips in my headlights a couple weeks ago.

@mdaaboul313

That is an awesome looking setup on your OEM HID headlights!

Would you care to elaborate on your method for opening up the factory headlight?

Thanks!

Mickey

Hey Mickey,

To be honest, baking them open was the easy part of the process.

1st we took out all of the bulbs, the ballast, the rubber grommet covering the HID, and the screw holding it together.

2nd we baked the headlight at 270 degrees for about 7 minutes. We had to do this a few times until it all came apart.

For us, the annoying part was having to scrape all of the permaseal out of the channel where it seals so we can put butyl in it's place for a better seal.

Here is my 2013 FX4 with the luxury package. With 2" spacers, 20 x 9 xd addicts and 35x12.5x20 nitto trail grapplers. She is getting a 6" lift this weekend.
