I wouldn't be worried about it, on my last two red trucks I removed decals and badging several years after purchase with no ill effects at all. As long as your taking care of the exterior finish, modern paints are impeccable!

Did you put that Red accent stripe on? I just bought a 2014 with the appearance package and was thinking of doing the same thing. If so, where did you get the material?
