Hey all you FX4 ecoboost owners! Finally got myself one of my own 2012 f150 3.5 ecoboost here. Really need help finding the right tire size go with that won't result in major rubbing issues. I'm thinking about going with 295/70r18 toyo m/t's but this whole trying to find the right wheel offset is frying my brain. I was told to stay close to the OEM offset which is +44 but then I read too much + offset you'll have issues and too - offset you'll have issues too! I am getting a 2.5 inch level kit. So what's your setup? What tire size and offset did you go with. I'd like to go with the absolute biggest tire without major problems. Help please!!!

Those are 34.8 tall and 12 wide! That's awesome any rubbing issues?

My bad I was looking at 18 inch rim conversion but those are still almost 34 and 12 wide

They are 33.98 inches tall. So 34 inch tires. There should be no rubbing, will let you know when they are installed.

With a 3.55 gear ratio they are the biggest I would go. Any bigger I would get a 4.10 but a 3.55 with a 34 still has a slightly lower tractive gearing than a 4.10 and a 35

Make your marks on the airdam where the rubber hits then add another 1/4" to allow for suspension travel (or as dem boyz call flex. After the marks are made make a direct cross cut on your mark. The piece removed should look about 1" x 6" and you will not be able to see the cut.

I will post a few pics if time prevails for tomorrow.

I do have the front dam trimmed.
I was wondering how you trimmed the back part of the wheel well where the trim is screwed to the body.

Pics of your work would be great to compare to what I have done.

Thanks!!

What about having 295/70/18s with a 3.73 gear ratio? Would I have any differential problems running that size?
