Catastrophic Break failure
I was on the way home from the g/f house the other night and the left front wheel started smoking bad. Pulled into to my driveway and heard a loud pop. i left till the morning till it was daylight out. i pulled the tire and breaks and caliper off and here is what i found. wow is all i can say. cant understand how this would happen. got a new one from NAPA they were the only ones that had it in stock.

What....
...year truck?
How many miles on truck?
How many miles on brake pads?
What do pads look like?
Any brake pad material left...or worn down to backing plate?
Any other pictures?
Good job getting it home...and sourcing a replacement so fast.

2011 f150 screw cab 4x4 just hit 30k miles the pads were not that bad at all they had tons of meat left on them they are the original pads. But I went ahead and replaced the front pads on both sides as a precaution while I was putting on the new caliper, the rotors were in great shape.
