Default SEM Rock it Liner VS. Line-X

Talked to a local body shop about a spray in liner, he isn't a LineX dealer but could spray a SEM Kit for about $75 less than the LineX Dealer 60 miles to the north.

Anyone had a SEM Kit, how does it compare?

Has nothing to do with me having Line-X. It is being installed by a shop with a DIY kit purchasable by the general public. How much labor is being tacked on and will the end result be as good as a spray in retailer can provide?

Google is your friend. See if you can find any reviews.

Still looking for someone who has used the product, who can give me first hand results and facts.

Thanks

No need to respond with shop selection advice or if you haven't used the product, you will be of no help to me.

Have been in body work for 14 years, we use lots of SEM products. They are all great, never had a problem. I even have the SEM pro tex bed liner on my truck. (one step up from the rock it) I've abused it, and it still holds up, Its ok. It was priced well at $180, and does what i need...but next time i will save up for a Line-X.

I agree with cdvaight...I'd be cautious! I truly believe that Rhino or Linex is the way to go. No sense in going cheap on something that is going to protect your big investment!

In 98, My brother bought Rino, I bought LineX, My linex still looks great albeit it a little faded, His Rino has had to be replace/repaired several times and is now coming off in chunks. To be fair, My linex was on a ford and his Rino on a Dodge so there is that... I wouldnt want to be on a Dodge either. ROFL

Not sure of the Rock-it, but I can say you will probably only buy LineX one time for that truck.
