I use a spare male buckle tab in the receptacle when I don't wear the belt.
I discovered this while searching the web for a replacement seatbelt once:
Dealer parts depts give away free seatbelt extenders if you request them. They're 8" belts with male and female connectors to allow multiple extenders to be linked together as needed.
The policy came about years ago to enable obese drivers to wear belts for safety and to avoid tickets. Most American car dealers comply, a few German carmakers do as well.
If you see sellers on ebay peddling seatbelt extenders for $25 or so, they're selling freebies from local dealers and ripping you off.
And no, buckles from different year F150s aren't compatible.

You always have the option to turn it back on - program a MyKey. If you're using a MyKey, the seatbelt dinger will stay on until you switch back to the regular key.
The problem with using a buckle is the truck truly thinks you're wearing a seatbelt, so it won't reduce the airbag force if you get in an accident. It's much better to not buckle it at all if you wont wear it.
Stenz - you can get your owners manual at http://owner.ford.com or at https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp going back to 1996. They are free PDF downloads. The procedure is different depending on the model year.

Page 181 in the Raptor Owners manual. (brought over from fordraptorforum.com)
Before following procedure make sure that:
-parking brake is set
-gearshift is in park
-the ignition is in off position
-the driver and front passenger safety belts are unbuckled
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do NOT start the engine)
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off (approximately one minute)
STEP 3 MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 SECONDS AFTER SAFETY BELT WARNING LIGHT TURNS OFF
3. For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 3 times, ending in the unbuckled state
(after step 3, the restraint system warning light (airbag light) will be turned on for 3 seconds)
4. Within approximately 7 seconds of the light turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.
This will disable the BeltMinder feature for that seating position. As confirmation, the restraint system (seatbelt) warning light will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
-------------------------------
At this point, you're golden. Do the same thing on the other side and then your seatbelt-chime-woes are a thing of the past. The serenity of silence is well worth the short time this process takes.
You can re-enable the seatbelt chime at any time by repeating this process.
As stated above, this process is a better alternative to putting a dummy latchplate into the buckle to avoid the chime, because using a dummy latchplate may adversely affect your airbag system.
