Seat overs over the leather and Alcan inserts?

Seat overs over the leather and Alcan inserts?
Does anyone have the new Alcan insert leatherseats(FX4) and covered them with a seat cover? I have a dog that travels with me and I am concerned about the leather seats with the inserts. My understanding is the cooling does not work well with many covers
