I did some more reading on the Peltier system, it is like a Heat Pump. I had no idea this technology was out there. I thought like digitaltrucker that it had to be cabin air or compressed refrigerant.

This is a great write up on the operation of the system. Thanks, I haven't found one this detailed yet. So theres also a TED unit...I'll have to do some more digging. I feel like there's just not much air blowing out at all. The dealer looked at it and told me the fans are functioning properly, they also cleaned out the filter. I feel like the back fans don't function at all though. I might have to pull it apart myself and check. Maybe they didn't look at it as closely as they said.
What type of climate do all of you ice asses live in? I'm in FL where it's 90+ degrees for 8 months out of the year. I have a feeling the outside temp just makes it feel like they don't work well even if they are functioning as they should. When it's in the 60s-70s I can turn them on and my butt is nice and cool.
And yes the 2010 Lariat has climate controlled seats, I have one sitting in my driveway. It's apparently the first gen system. Does anyone know if they've changed anything in the newer models to make it function better, upgraded the fans, revised the programming, etc? Maybe if I can get some parts from a 2014 my system will work better.

I live in central georgia and mine freezes me. This is awesome during bow season when it is still 90. I get in to precooled seats and just melt.

no problem, I work for an infiniti/Nissan dealer. This tech is found in those cars too, we were taught how it works

I wonder if this will be what heats and cools all cars in the future. No need for heater cores and a/c compressors.

Love My Eco
I have a 2011 FX4 Echoboost, we did not have the option for the Cooling seats in that model that came in 2012. I do however have the spot on the AC part of the dash for the push button. Would it be hard to swap in a seat from a 2012 with both heat and cooling?
yes i did search (that's how i found this and a lot of others)
