Wondering if anyone here is experiencing the same thing? My truck's a 2013 eco..
Honestly, I don't pay that much attention to my fans to know exactly when they turn on/off, or how fast they are going in certain situations. Like I keep saying ... yes, I can hear them when they go on hyper-speed, or near hyper-speed ... but that doesn't mean they are deafening. And I do hear them turn on/off (or maybe speed up and slow down) when I get in slow moving or stop-n-go traffic ...

That said, if your fans are coming on at 100%, and never slowing down ... even when moving at a good rate of speed, and in temps between 90-100F ... then yes, I'd say something isn't quite right. They should be going a good bit, but not on 100% of the time at 100% speed.

Mine does not cycle like that in Tornado mode. With the weather we have had this last week in Houston, mine come on and stay on in hyper when driving the regular streets. When on the freeway, they reduce down but get hyper again once I have slowed.

Not really. If it was that easy, we would have gone with it. We do have a full set of fleet trucks, of and by the way all FORD. Not one of them does the hyper fans. All work normal.

Have you checked the relays as I have suggested?

Just an update... 85 degrees out there this morning, 5:30am. Fans did not come on at hyper speed, or what ever they are called.. lol. They came on at regular high speed, what i would consider normal. They ran just fine all the way into the office. Same speed, 60-70 all the way in.

How can i know they ran fine? One major thing. I can't hear them in the cabin like when they are running at hyper speed.

Now yesterday on my way home they were running so hard that i could feel the vibration when i come to a stop on the shifter, steering column, and brake pedal. Was home for about 1.5 hours, then headed out for dinner. As soon as i started the truck, BAM! hyper fans, and could feel the vibrations again.

Look, you know what is sad about it, when you pass by someone and they stair at you because those fans are so loud!

I am not sure how to check them myself, i do have an appointment today to take it into the dealer. Maybe they can check them there.

I'm not too savvy on mechanical stuff, but i know enough to know what is normal and what is not. I took it into another shop, and they said take it back to the dealer, it's not good, and that those fans should not be running like that. Mind you they are certified techs there. Been taking my other vehicles to them for a long time.

Everything you have just described, is normal operation. Mine yesterday in Houston were on "tornado mode" most of the day, in stop and go traffic. Once it got to 95.

Once on the freeway, they settled down until I got off the freeway. Went out to dinner later, they were immediately on.

First having been there and done exactly what you are discussing, I understand what you are saying.

You mentioned a fleet of trucks, so I assumed you may have an in house mechanic that could check out your truck.

For the first time, I past another F150 in a parking lot the other day, mine was on and so was his! I felt good.

Problem for you is, if you take to dealer during the heat of the day, they are going to have a diagnosis issue. But I would suggest to them very nicely to check the low speed relay. Then the full fan mechanism. I think they replaced mine because one fan had actually burned out.

Good luck!

All our fleet trucks get serviced through the dealer they originated from. For warranty purposes. They all get replaced too once the warranty is about to expire. We recently had a delivery of 2015 models. Hope they can take a punishing. hehehehe.

Yeah! I want to be that guy, drive by another truck normal without anything else interfering. No noises, loud fans.. lol
