It won't work. The Roush is all 3", stock is 2 1/2". I moved the Roush excuse to the stock resonator position, and added an 18" Flowmaster Series 40 in the place of the Roush original location, just forward of where the tailpipe turns up to go over the axle. Basically, the Flowmaster, and Roush's muffler/resonator, are in the same location as the stock Ford components.
If you look at what Roush calls a muffler, you'll find it's identical to the stock resonator, only 3" I/O.
My first trip with this thing installed, 200 miles, had my ears ringing by the time it was over. I felt sorry for my dog who travels with me. BTW, that was at/around 1800 rpms, terrible, unless all you wanted was noise.
I have found some guys like it, and don't have problems with it, like you and I. I guess it's it's the "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing.
