I have the harness. I had at least a foot of extra wire that's still tie wrapped up under my truck. Youll absolutely have enough

Thanks for the info. Guess this will be one of my next purchases. Where did you end up running the harness on the truck?

I actually ran mine through the frame!

and yes pictures don't do the light output justice. Although the diffused lenses aren't designed for long distance output.

I too used Rigid's supplied "backup harness". It's a nice piece for the price.
I ran mine down the driver's side and followed the factory wiring loom (about 1" in diameter) from the firewall, through the driver's wheel well and down the frame to the rear wheel well. Over the frame, under the bed, over the spare tire and to the back bumper. I split it inside the bumper and ran them out to my shackles.
Like AricsFX I have about 18"-24" of additional wiring bundled and ziptied in a safe location at the back of the truck on my 5.5' bed. More than enough to get the 6.5' bed wired up.

What is everyone using to stop the bumper from rusting where the cutout is made. I know I could always change the bumper but rusting is my biggest fear.

I put a coat of paint on it. As long as you use something to seal it, it should be fine.

I am very happy with the quality, fit and finish of the lights. I think they give the truck a nice look. I have not had much time to play with them at night, but they are super bright. I like the diffused pattern, much wider than the previous lights I had that were in a flood pattern. They do not wash out the back up camera either.

Here are some pics of the install...Post up any questions.

Looks great, nice job. I also did this awhile back and you're right, cutting into the bumper is a little unnerving but as with anything, have the right tools and take your time. I do have the pneumatic cutoff wheel and started with that but it wanted to grip and run down the bumper. I ended up just adding layers of tape and using a jigsaw. Drill 4 big holes in each corner and play connect the dots with the jig saw.
I used the SRQ2 diffused for mine and output is awesome. I also, like you, double switched it so it was auto in reverse or independent if I wanted to be parked and hook up to a trailer or work being my truck.

This was my first Rigid install and now have them little diamonds (diamonds because they are expensive) all over my truck.
When I unlock my door at night its like a UFO landing in the parking lot.
All of my rigid pic installs are in my album in my garage.
Thanks for sharing your mod, makes me not feel so stupid for cutting into my bumper. :-)
Danny
