Default Reverse lights

This is my first Ford and besides the odd dash lights and the overall size of the truck and driving in tight areas, I love it. But has anyone else noticed the backup lights are hard to see at night? I don't have a deep tint on my front windows at all, but it's almost impossible to see backing up at night. Even if I roll the window down, all I see is the red from the taillights. I have even had someone put the truck in reverse with me outside looking to see if the lights came on and sure enough they were on.

The second issue would be to install the factory backup camera because mine didn't come with it and I am really regretting it.

Just go purchase some LED lights for the backups.

Sounds like a plan. Surely LEDs will be bright enough to see.

That would prob make it worse. LED's are bright, but don't put out any usable light.

You could get a set of cheap fog lights and mount them under the rear bumper. My paw in law did that on his excursion and it made a world of difference.

Or one of those lights that plugs into the trailer connector. I'm not pulling any trailers in my near future so shouldn't be a problem there using it for that.

LED's made my reverse lights worse! Yeah, they are bright when you look at them, but they definately dont light up anything when backing up! Only get them if you want the cosmetics.

Alright, no LEDs then. But why is it these stock lights don't light up worth a darn in the first place? The backup lights on my dad's new F350 light up the night. They are excellent!

The stock lights on my 08 F150 lit up very nicely! No clue why your 09's dont.

Why would you spend that kind of money on a backup light? If you search backup lights, you will see a picture of my truck with fogs by the hitch.
