They will look like my old retro's but my halos were white. Me personally would have went with the 55watt bulbs and bal.

Looking for a little advice here. I recently got a complete set of retrofits but during shipping the shroud popped off the fx-r projector on the one headlight. I think it will just snap back into place but obviously im going to have to take lens off to get to it. Looks like the lenses were put back in with black RTV and not butyl tape. Can you still bake that or do u need to cut it all out somehow?

I would scrape it off the outside of the seam and if possible use a heat gun to open it.

It might just be on the outside. For example I seal all my lights with butyl and then out a bead of dynaflex on the outside for added protection. Its not silicone. Silicone is not good for retrofits as it releases gasses.

But - they only leak a little

Seriously - how about asking him to send yall some pics? $60 sounds awfully low. What's inside 'em?

I'm really wanting a set of retrofits but I don't want to worry about having problems with a headlight. I also want my auto feature to work and from what I understand it doesn't always work with retros.

This will be what the final product should look like.

Now I need my ballasts to show up so I can wrap this project up! My SS ballasts I sent back got stuck in that traffic jam in Atlanta so that's why it has been taking longer than normal.
Almost done!!!!
kws148 How. Did. You. Do. This?? I'm building my lights this weekend and I want to do my reflectors like that too.

I had some F-150 decals made from a forum member on here. I put the decals on the reflectors then used Nightshades over the reflectors. I applied 4 coats then removed the decals after it dried of course then applied 2 more coats of Nightshades to kinda give the F-150 a ghosted effect. Then I put 5 coats of clear over everything and polished after all was dry.
